100 Series Sun Roof Stuck Closed

Sunroof is stuck closed and is leaking a little pours out from the passenger side onto the seat when stopping abruptly.

I can live with my sunroof not working as long as it s closed. Tilt the sunroof into vent position as far as possible then press and hold the same switch for 30 seconds until you see it move release the switch and immediately press and hold it again the sunroof will close and open fully then close again do not release the button until it reaches the closed position for the second time. I am not looking to fix the sunroof to make it open close but want to stop the leak. I have a problem with a 2000 year model 100 series.

I went to shut my sunroof and it was just about closed when it reopened on its own. When i turn the sunroof switch to close it the motor just clicks now. Sunroof is stuck closed and has a slight leak i want to clean the drain holes out and possibly replace the gasket around the sunroof glass if needed. The sun roof is jammed and will not open any more than one or two inches.

Have a 2003 100 series. Unclip the roof liner frame and push back into the opening. It s way to bright outside there is pollution there are bugs an. Of course our toyota shops are closed on sunday and we are on vacation and must travel home.

I know this is an 80 series thread but is most relevant to the issue i am having with my 100 series 2003. The track and cable work together to pull the sunroof open and closed. If you have a map light or consul box you will need to remove that box to get the headliner to pull down far enough. Remove the trim ring that holds the sunroof opening headliner that goes all the way around the inside of the headliner once that trim ring is removed pull down on the headliner on the front side of the opening.
